Today in First Grade we began to analyze the Open Court version of "Frog and Toad -- The Garden." Our goal is to develop a small piece of musical theater around the story that we can present in a few weeks.Today's lesson emphasized how the story begins , develops and ends and how this is something that occurs in music also. The kids also began to come with some ideas for how to dramatise the elements, including some very cool Frog and Toad noise improvs.
