Concert in the Park - "O Menussis"
Both ensembles did a nice job with this Nina Stern piece, which they had not performed together before the day of our show.
Thanks for coming everybody. Rehearsals for our next Concert in the Park begin on November 27.
Concert in the Park - "Pumpkin Jam"
<p> <br></p> <p> Another new thing we tried was this improvisatory made up on the spot jam to a power point video Mr. Rikko put together of first and second grade art.  This is something we've done in the classroom but never in one of our performances.  As cool as it was to watch it was even cooler to be part of.  Nice job jazz cats! </p>
Concert in the Park - "Intery Mintery"
<p> <br></p> <p> Fantastic job everybody at the Concert in the Park on Friday!  </p> <p> <br></p> <p> One of the things that was really fun and different this year was the fact that, due to the early start of school, the concert date fell in early November.  As a result we had reason to try more Halloween themed material, including this piece written by Doug Goodkin, with an arrangement by our kids.</p>
